Writing

I've started writing again! It's a big accomplishment to me, especially after months and months of not writing. After months and months of struggling with procrastination, my mental health, and other life things.

First, I've gotten back into reading, and I could just disappear in these books. I have just finished reading A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, and I fell in love. I felt like I was there in Prythian, and I can't wait to go back in A Court of Mist and Fury.

But now, I have actually finished writing a scene I have been stuck on and I wrote down some other information on some areas of my book. For those of you who don't know, I'm working on my first book! A subtle fantasy with romance and betrayal. I'm working on chapter 2, and hopefully I can have the whole first draft done rather quickly. And as soon as I'm finished, I'll start releasing the title and quotes, and creating content to market it.

I've been writing since I was young. In my fifth grade English class, we had "Journal Time," which was when we would spend the first thirty minutes of the class writing in our journals about our day, the weekend, a trip, or a short story. Can you guess what I wrote? Short stories! And I would go up to the front of the class and share my stories with everyone. A class favorite was my retelling of The Fox and the Hound.

Anyway, I haven't blogged in a while and I thought this would be a cool little update for everyone. I look forward to blogging more, and if I don't... well that just means I'm writing elsewhere ;)

The Greatest Gift
