I’ve always loved fantasy and science fiction, hence my tattoos and Twitter Feed. When I was younger, I always wrote short stories during journal/reading time in class. I’ve always pictured myself touching a dragon’s nose to bond with or wielding a light saber alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi. I always knew I wanted to write a book, and last year I got serious about it. Unfortunately I had some misdirections and distractions, and procrastination as well.
My book is a fantasy romance, set in a castle that has never seen the sun. It's about a lady in waiting who is best friends with the prince, but also in love with him. The prince doesn't feel the same and she knows that, but he continues to lead her on. Then there's a new apprentice to the Sorceror, and as mysterious and dark as he is, the main character naturally falls for him too. But that takes a while to happen... or does it?
I'm aiming for an Enemies to Lovers trope. I have a couple scenes written out as well as the ending, and now I just need to write all the connecting stuff. But before I do that, I'm going to create mood boards for my characters, the settings, maybe the situations as well. I'll be writing little short stories (backgrounds) for my characters and for the history of the land. It might take a while to get all that done but it's worth it for my book.
Now I'm off to struggle against laziness and procrastination in order to complete some mood boards. I'll be giving myself deadlines to get this all done, of course, as I would love to share my fantasy world with you all. In the meantime, I'll be sharing bits of my book writing journey here!
